Cryptarch Privacy Policy

Cryptarch is a Chrome extension that helps Destiny 2 players auto-score and auto-lock loot drops using Bungie’s public API. This page explains what data Cryptarch uses and what happens to it.

What Cryptarch accesses

• Your Bungie.net account profile (via the official Bungie OAuth sign-in flow) — so Cryptarch knows which Destiny character to check.
• Your Destiny 2 inventory (polled every minute from Bungie’s API) — so Cryptarch can detect new drops.

What Cryptarch does with it

• Everything stays in your browser. Your inventory, drop history, and auto-lock preferences are stored locally using Chrome’s built-in extension storage. Nothing is uploaded to any server owned by Cryptarch or its developer.
• Cryptarch has no backend. There is no Cryptarch database, no user account beyond your Bungie sign-in, and no analytics.
• When Cryptarch auto-locks an item, that request goes directly from your browser to Bungie. No intermediary is involved.

What Cryptarch does NOT do

• Cryptarch never sells, shares, or transfers your data to anyone.
• Cryptarch does not track your browsing behavior, page visits, or activity outside Destiny 2 inventory.
• Cryptarch does not inject code into web pages or modify Bungie.net or any other website.
• Cryptarch does not modify your Destiny 2 game client or interact with the game process.

Deleting your data

Uninstall the Cryptarch extension, and all locally stored Cryptarch data is deleted by Chrome automatically. You can also sign out via the Dashboard at any time to invalidate your Bungie session.
